Funke Akindele Denies Divorce, Marriage Crash As Husband Returns To Ex-Wife

Nigerian actress Funke Akindele who was involved in a marriage crash saga few days ago has finally opened up.
The actress who refused to talk despite the virality of the story didn’t address the whole world. Instead, Funke Akindele blasts a popular media house, The Nation for carrying her divorce story.
In reply to a news headline yesterday, check out what the actress said via SMS

“I read in the newspaper yesterday that I am divorced. What proof do you have? And I am taking this to court because my marriage is intact. You guys are rumour mongers. Funke Akindele Oloyede.”

Though her husband is yet to officially denounce their divorce announcement which he purportedly made 2 days ago via his Facebook page, Funke is still insisting they have no marriage problem.
As we speak, we learnt Funke’s hubby has moved back to the house of one of his mistresses, one Modinat Dada.
According to close sources, the problem started shortly after Funke Akindele’s popular wedding to the Oshodi big boy last year. Kehinde Oloyede who showed no remorse admitted to the actress that one of his girlfriend named Modinat is 3 months pregnant for him.
Last year during their marriage ceremony, Funke Akindele’s husband’s 2nd wife Fadeke, who was pregnant for him at that time was forced to take a vacation to Dubai in order not to interfere with the wedding since she is not in support of the union.
In a typical Yoruba setting, the senior wife should receive the new bride into the family. Checks revealed Fadeke too was not formally received by the evicted first wife, Toun. All these and more drew public odium to the hitherto much loved The Return of Jenifa star, especially women who believed she’s a home wrecker.
Funke Akindele Claims She is Kehinde Oloyede’s first legal wife When it became obvious that the marriage is under pressure the actress debunked all reports then with an official press release.
This is what Funke Akindele said then;

“ My husband has never been married. I am the woman he got married to. I was married properly. A lot of negative comments came from sadists who want to run their mouths. So because I am a Youth Ambassador or a Celebrity, I can’t have my life?
“‘It is my life. If I do things because people want me to, I will end up unhappy. I do what I do because I want to be happy. I would still continue to teach morals and campaign against HIV/
AIDS and enlighten the youths. It doesn’t make me bad; that is even if it is, because I can tell you authoritatively that my husband is not married to anyone else. “‘Yes, he has beautiful children, who are not mine now and we have a cordial relationship, which dates back to even before we got married.
“So what if he has kids? Is that a disease? That is where my heart is! I had many non-biological children even before I got married. I take them as my own children, pay their bills and help them. I have always loved children. So now that God has given me these ones, what should I do? “Will people be happier if I had married someone who didn’t have children, seem so perfect, put on my make-up and fake smile on the red carpet and start weeping when I get home? And about my in-laws, they are very wonderful and supportive and my parents and siblings as well.”

Modinat Dada one of the mistresses of Funke Akindele’s husband gave birth to a baby boy in October 2012 while he married Funke in May.
It was a big slap on the face of the Jenifa star.
Due to the heat the controversy generated, Funke Akindele lost her 4 months pregnancy.
At this time, the collapse of the marriage became so obvious as Funke Akindele stay at her Ikeja home, her husband often shuttles between his wives as a bed sharer.
He frequently shuttles between Funke Akindele, Fadekemi (his second wife), Modinat Dada (his mistress) and other concubines.
Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, according to our source could not believe that Funke’s back-to- back endorsement comes so easy.
He thinks those corporate guys who give those endorsements cannot really take their eyes off her. Severally, he checked her phone and queried some names and the relationship she has with her callers.” Observers believe the fact that the marriage is broken was hurting enough but the decision of Kehinde to announce it on Facebook was heartbreaking and nasty. Not a few have lampooned him for his action considered to be childish and immature. His post did not give room for reconciliation. It went public and viral as soon as it was posted.
His divorce announcement on Facebook is a result of the crack in the marriage. 2 days ago, he poured out his heart to the whole world that his relationship with Funke has ended.

Check out what he shared on Facebook 2 days ago:
“It is with heavy heart that I am announcing the separation of me and my wife, Mrs. Olufunke Akindele. We have both agreed to go our separate ways because of irreconcilable differences. We
are still best of friends and we would forever remain good friends. Am doing just fine, gettn along without u,don’t need u anymore in ma life.u d greatest mistake av made in recent
time..Kehinde Oloyede.”

He later deleted the story claiming he was under stress. Few hours later, he claims his Facebook account was hacked by an unknown individual.
As we speak, members of both family are keeping mute on the case after all efforts to reconcile the couple failed. The have resolved to fold their arms and watch how events unfold.
Though Funke Akindele is denying the story late, she can’t deny the fact that the obvious crack in her marriage is enough to put this relationship to a sad end.
According to close sources, the actress is considering a silent divorce
